Brown wins at Contact national series race in Kinloch

Hi there,
Well my build up for Ironman New Zealand is all on track after a solid win in the Contact Energy New Zealand national series race in Kinloch, Taupo yesterday. I had a good swim and was out of the water 2nd behind swim specialist Craig Stewart, but once on the bike I powered up my new Avanti Chono complete with my Eastern EC90 aero wheels and I ripped up the bike course coming into transition with a 5min lead.
After my calf injury in November it has been a slow recovery in order to get back my full running speed but everything went smoothly during the 4 lap run course which was like the bike course.....tough with plenty of undulating hills. I now have 4 weeks left until Ironman New Zealand so the count down is on. I'll be in touch soon with how the taper is going.
