The Buzz is Building for Sunday...

This week Xtri has been checking in with some of the top pro's racing Sunday. The excitement can be felt by all racing, and everyone seems to be feeling fit. Get ready for some fireworks!

"After passing up 70.3 Worlds last year to prep for Kona I am really exciting to be toeing the line in Vegas this weekend! This is hands down the greatest 70.3 field ever assembled and I am looking forward to challenge! The strength work I have been doing for Kona should translate well to the tough course and conditions in Vegas. I hope to reap some of the benefits this weekend as I duke it out for a shot at the World Title!" - Tim O'Donnell

"I can't wait for Sunday to get here! Wattie and I came out to Boulder for the 70.3 and never left, so it's been five weeks of heat, winds, and altitude. I am confident in my training and now just ready to race! It's the World Champs- a stacked field on a tough course... I'm excited! Time to Rock!" - Heather Jackson

"I have raced every 70.3 World Championships since it's inception back in 2006. Since then I have seen the event grow in both talent and depth to be now one of the most competitive fields on the racing calendar. This is why it is a very exciting event for me. I love racing the best, and I believe we will see them all in Vegas." - Leanda Cave

A roll of the dice means...I'm off to Vegas this weekend! Ironman 70.3 World Champs here I come. Looking forward to a stacked field and plenty of hard-racing fun!! - Mirinda Carfrea (Taken from Twitter @mirindacarfrea)

In my lead up to the world championships, every night I have had Moose Droll (Brown Ale from Big Sky Brewing Company) before bed so I am hoping that does the trick for me - Linsey Corbin (From http://linseycorbin.com)

Coming off a recent win in Maine at Rev3 Jesse Thomas said "I also did a decent job of "practicing," mentally and physically, what it will take for me to be successful in Vegas in 2 weeks. A super hard swim, followed by a super hard bike (particularly the front half), followed by whatever I can muster on the run, (except in Vegas it will be all out to the last step)." "I can't believe it's a mere 4 days until 70.3 Worlds in Las Vegas. I'm excited to toe the line and put myself up against the best in the world - all the competitors whom I've raced throughout the year on other playing fields. It'll be hot and, I'm hoping, a true test of attrition." - Angela Neath (From http://angelanaeth.blogspot.com)

Paul Matthews checked in saying "I'm feeling good. It was good to race in Des Moines this weekend to blow some cobwebs out after a big training block. Looking forward to racing in the best 70.3 field ever assembled!"
