Mark Allen Online Boulder Triathlon Camp

Boulder Colorado has long been recognized as the best place to train by long distance athletes all over the world. Coach Luis Vargas will host the Boulder Triathlon Training Camp June 15-17, 2012. For the past eight years coach Vargas has hosted training camps in Boulder. This camp is a perfect opportunity to immerse yourself into a weekend of all triathlon. We are also delighted to have head coach and 6 times Hawaii Ironman World Champion Mark Allen deliver some of the camp lectures this year. Mark and Luis will share their knowledge as co-founders and coaches of The camp is a perfect blend of learning with some altitude training in Boulder's most popular training routes.

The camp dates are as follows:

Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 15-17, 2012 (11 slots available)

The camp will be geared towards any athlete looking to learn how to train properly in addition to improving their swim and run technique as well as their bike positioning. Talks will have an informal feel as they will be done during meals as well as on the field. Training sessions will be done on the most popular Boulder routes and when it is time to eat we will meet at some of the best local restaurants and eateries. The camp will not be a mega training weekend but there will be a few training sessions as well as a race. We encourage all campers to also sign up for the Boulder Sprint Triathlon on Sunday morning. You can very well train at your own pace. The toughest training session will be a 2 hour ride to Jamestown that includes a steady 2000 ft climb. This is Coach Vargas favorite ride. Proper bike gearing is a must. The ride has a bike path all the way and follows a creek, it is what riding your bike was meant to be. A lot personal attention will be guaranteed as the camp is limited to 15 athletes.
